Around the world there are 60 million girls who are not in school and who are missing out on the opportunities open to boys. Ministers from across the continent are in the UK to join other world leaders for a forum to tackle the issues that prevent young women from reaching their potential. The British government has pledged $130m to support disadvantaged girls across the developing world,including #Africa.
