Heavy rain and fierce gusty winds have been battering and Greater Manchester as Storm Claudia wreaks havoc across the country today.. The storm has been named by the Spanish meteorological service, but its impact will be felt across much of England and Wales today (November 14). A fallen tree has left trams suspended on the Metrolink line between Bury and Whitefield. In Oldham, firefighters have cordoned off part of Elk Mill Shopping Centre.
