Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (1606-1669) was a Dutch painter, printmaker, and draughtsman from the Golden Age. He’s widely considered one of Western art history’s greatest visual artists and a key figure in Dutch art. Rembrandt’s prolific career produced an estimated 300 paintings, 300 etchings, and 2,000 drawings.
