In this video, we took a drive through the Cumberland Gap Tunnel, that incredible stretch of highway connecting Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia right through the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. The Wilderness Road Campground is located approximately 3 miles from the park visitor center of the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park off of Highway 58 in Virginia. It has 160 sites in a beautiful wooded setting. Campsites are very private and have lots of space. It is a totally dog friendly campground with trails leading to the town of Cumberland Gap and even the Pinnacle Overlook. A bathhouse and showers are available.
