Toot, Whistle, Plunk & Boom was released on this day in 1953. The short was directed by Ward Kimball and Charles A. Nichols. This beautifully stylized film served as a sequel to Adventures in Music: Melody. It was also the first cartoon filmed in widescreen and went on to win the Academy Award for Best Short Subject (Cartoon).
