The Angeles National Forest has over 100 developed picnic areas and campgrounds. Choose from cool, secluded forest sites to sunny stream side locations. Camp sites are first come first served with a maximum 14-day stay.

The Angeles National Forest manages the watersheds within its boundaries to provide valuable water to southern California and to protect surrounding communities from catastrophic floods.

ARCADIA, Calif., January 17, 2025—The entire Angeles National Forest and San Gabriel Mountains National Monument are temporarily closed for public safety and the protection of natural resources through Friday, January 24, 2025, at 12:00 midnight. This closure is tied to critical fire danger.
