Sep 19, 2020 · Superman is also a great disguise for Clark Kent. The thing about Clark Kent is that despite not wearing a mask he's has two disguises. As IIRC put in Lois and Clark, Clark Kent is who he is, Superman is what he can do. Even if he didn't have the powers he'd still be doing whatever he could.

Pa Kent is unsure if Clark is ready to face that side of society and that burden were he to reveal himself, he would prefer Clark just remain his son. But he also knows Clark is destined for greater things.

He's clearly the inverse of Jor-El who believes that Earth will embrace him and become like a God to lead them.

Who he is from a child then there’s Superman. Superman returns showed this. Around his mom he’s normal Clark Kent, then he puts on the other Clark disguise for the daily bugle.

Dec 19, 2024 · Reeve plays the bumbling Clark so well and shifts to the statuesque Superman so smoothly that despite the old joke about how it's this conspicuously strapping, big and muscular office worker, who bears an odd resemblance to someone who hangs around that specific city a lot, you can still easily buy the Superman confusion despite the lack of any mask.

Dec 19, 2024 · I'd forgotten how utterly uninterested Man of Steel was in Clark Kent. Just purely perfunctory. She reminds me a lot of the Lois in Superman The Animated Series, one of the best adaptations of Superman to date. The long straight black hair and no-nonsense sort of vibe.

Mar 11, 2023 · I just want to say that the idea of a conflicted Pa Kent worried about his son helping others and turning the whole world against Clark is a good concept.But the movie doesn't execute that properly and Pa Kent's death is hilarious it's like the movie goes such a long way to be different from 1978's Johnattan and it ends up being worse and convoluted.But that's kind of a thing with Snyder.
