A rare daytime missile barrage on Tel Aviv forces millions into shelters as Israeli forces retaliate against Iran's missile-launching capabilities.

Air raid sirens could be heard across the Israeli city of Tel Aviv in the early hours of Tuesday morning, as Iranian media reported that military forces had launched missiles at Israel.

Residents awoke to mostly quiet streets in Tel Aviv after spending the night running back and forth to bomb shelters after Iran’s attacks on the coastal city. Some restaurants and cafes were closed, although those that remained open were full of people drinking coffee and eating pastries as normal.

Understanding that while many tragedies are unavoidable, taking every possible precaution provided was not just a suggestion. They were a survival guide.

Eliezer Reinhold lives in a suburb of Tel Aviv, Petah Tikva. Reinhold is the father-in-law of Florida State University’s Chabad of Tallahassee Rabbi, Schneur Oirechman. Reinhold visits Tallahassee several times a year, but is currently in Israel. He said the last few days have been long, and every night brings the chance for missile attacks.
