SAN JOSE – Crews on Tuesday afternoon were battling a tier 3 brush fire in East San Jose, fire officials said. The blaze, dubbed the Ranch Fire, was reported just after 4 p.m. in the 3500 block of Ranch Place, according to the San Jose Fire Department. Cal Fire air support is en route.

Cal Fire has issued evacuation orders Tuesday evening for the Ranch Place fire burning in the East San Jose foothills. The blaze has consumed 100 acres in the area near Ranch Place and Old Piedmont Road as of 4:17 p.

Firefighters are responding to a brush fire in the San Jose foothills. The blaze is reported in the area of the 3500 block of Ranch Place. Crews from the San Jose Fire Department and Cal Fire are responding.
