When Novak Djokovic calls time on his career, he’ll almost certainly go down as the greatest player to ever compete on the ATP Tour. Djokovic arrived at a time when Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal were already sharing Grand Slam titles between them.
This year's ATP Finals are well underway with Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev making winning starts on Sunday. The former breezed past Alex de Minaur in straight sets while the latter defeated Ben Shelton in similar fashion.
Novak even found humor in the tension that surrounded the match. He joked that his father appeared as exhausted as if he had played the final himself. As Djokovic described it, Srdjan almost had a heart attack, and he did not help him by playing such an intense match.
