BAGHDAD -Iran-aligned Iraqi armed group Kataib Hezbollah warned on Sunday it would resume attacks on U.S. troops in the region if the United States intervenes in the conflict between Israel and Iran.

Gen. Amos Yadlin, former IDF intel chief, told Fox News Digital Israel’s attack on Iran was the result of intelligence gathering that dates back decades.

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian urged Iraq on Sunday to block Israel from using its airspace and territory to launch attacks on the Islamic republic.

The missile and air war that Israel and Iran have spent decades planning for has come, and it is spectacular and terrifying. Israeli officials say they need at least two weeks to degrade Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities.

Rising tensions with Iran and fears of an Israeli strike prompted the U.S. to move some of its nonmilitary personnel out of the region.

India is a net importer of crude oil, with over 40 percent of its supplies sourced from Middle East nations such as Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar. These countries export crude oil and LNG to India through the Strait of Hormuz route.

"Our support for Gaza and our defense of our country against the Zionist aggression against it has continued," a Houthi source told Newsweek.

The system has been used to defend Israel amid attacks by Iran, which has fired hundreds of ballistic missiles and suicide drones since Friday.
