Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem released from a Washington, D.C., hospital Tuesday night after an allergic reaction, a DHS spokesperson said.

A spokesperson for the Homeland Security Department says Secretary Kristi Noem was taken to a hospital to treat an allergic reaction but is “alert and recovering.”

"She was transported to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. She is alert and recovering," a DHS spokesperson said.
