Two men charged with shooting and killing a Georgia college student while she was working at a bar - Both of the men charged were already in police custody on unrelated matters

Tsion Clayton, 23, and Kimone Green, 21, both of Lowndes County, GA, have each been charged with one count of malice murder in the death of Brianna Long, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced on Tuesday, Feb. 25.

A Georgia sheriff’s deputy won’t face criminal charges for fatally shooting a Black man during a 2023 traffic stop that spiraled into a violent struggle, the district attorney who examined body-camera video and other evidence in the killing said Tuesday.

Brianna Long, 21, was closing up the bar in Valdosta when the shooting occurred outside and she was hit by a bullet, according to the GBI.

Two men, Tsion Clayton and Kimone Green, have been charged with malice murder in the shooting death of Brianna Long at a Remerton bar in October 2023.
