Sinner battled back to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in three hours and four minutes against Alcaraz, to avenge his heartbreaking French Open defeat just 35 days ago.

Alcaraz was 5-0 in title matches at the majors until Sunday, when his reign at Wimbledon ended with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 defeat against No. 1 Jannik Sinner.

It is also the first time in Wimbledon history that both champions have served anti-doping suspensions.
