High pressure systems will prevent Pacific storms from diving deep into Southern California — a phenomenon that’s largely responsible for San Diego being in the midst of the second-driest rainy season on record.

Clear, blue skies and seasonal temperatures are making for a gorgeous Wednesday across the region. High pressure will start to expand from the south across Southern California and power a warming trend through early parts of next week.
