With snow still on the ground in some parts of North Alabama and bitter cold in the forecast, some schools are changing their schedules based on impacts on roads.

With the threat of snow, sleet, freezing rain and other wintry weather conditions, several Alabama school districts have announced changes in plans for Wednesday. The winter storms are forecast to hit north and north-central Alabama on Tuesday night,
