DALLAS — Rockets center Alperen Şengün injured his right leg just minutes into Houston’s game against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday at American Airlines Center. Şengün appeared to injure his leg while going for a rebound and falling awkwardly. He sat on the court for several seconds before the Rockets were able to get a timeout.

Sgt. Robert Nobles was at the hospital to be treated, but according to investigators, he ended up attacking three nurses, including one who is pregnant.

HOUSTON — The Houston Fire Department said an elderly man was found dead after a fire tore through a home in west Houston Saturday morning. This happened around 8 a.m. at a home on Willow Lake Drive, which is in a neighborhood north of Westheimer Road between S Kirkwood Road and S Dairy Ashford Road.

Although Cincinnati leads the all time series 33-17, Houston has won the last 12 meetings. The Cougars haven’t lost to the Bearcats since February 2020. Houston has also won the last three road meetings. Most recently, the Cougars won at home 73-64 last March and received the Big 12 regular season title postgame.
