Sean McDermott suffered only one losing season in nine years with the Bills, but was unable to muster an elusive Super Bowl title in Buffalo.
After nine seasons, the Buffalo Bills are searching for a new head coach again. The HC market is already booming following Black Monday, so there’s no shortage of replacements for Sean McDermott.
In his statement, Bills owner Terry Pegula said McDermott did an "admiral" job leading the team. What he meant was an "admirable" job. It was fitting he had a mistake in the very first sentence of a statement announcing monumental change, because the decisions put together were a mistake, too.
McDermott feels like a prime candidate to get the Cardinals out from the bottom of the NFL standings. He had seven straight 10+ win season with the Bills, and while their roster is clearly head and shoulders above Arizona's, there's still some solid pieces for McDermott to work with.
