But senior military leaders insist the alliance remains steady and focused on its core mission. According to NATO’s top commander in Europe, recent statements from Washington have not altered the alliance’s military posture.
"As part of the increased presence in the Arctic and the North Atlantic, the Danish Armed Forces are deploying capacities and units in connection with exercise activities from today," said the Danish Ministry of Defense in a statement.
House Republicans say they are unfazed by President Donald Trump‘s threats to seize Greenland, with some not taking the threat seriously and others saying they simply don’t have an opinion on the idea of the United States invading a NATO ally.
