Florida football recruiting: Gators surge with three new Composite four-star commitments in 2026 class
This latest string of commitments marks a greater surge for coach Billy Napier and the Gators, who have actively secured eight of their 10 commits in the 2026 class since the start of June. Florida has climbed to No. 28 nationally in the 247Sports Composite team rankings and stands sixth among SEC programs.
RB Carsyn Baker commits to the Florida Gators over FSU
Running back Carsyn Baker (6-1, 195, Fairburn, GA., Langston Hughes) committed to Florida over Florida State and South Carolina. “Gator Nation I’m home,” Baker wrote on social media. Baker took an official visit to Gainesville at the end of Ma,y and during that trip, running backs coach Jabbar Juluke impressed him.

He chose the Florida Gators over offers from South Carolina, Florida State, Alabama and Auburn. Baker is rated a three-star per 247Sports and a four-star per 247Sports Composite, the 187th-best player nationally and the 15th-best running back in the country.
