WINOOSKI, Vt. (WCAX) - Vermont state lawmakers are seeking to enshrine the federal Voting Rights Act into state law while the Trump administration seeks to curb mail-in voting and require proof of citizenship to vote.
The proposal, announced Monday, would codify key protections of the landmark federal Voting Rights Act of 1965 into Vermont law.
