If a USB audio driver won't install on the first connection, then it can happen if the USB audio 2.0 driver (usbaudio2.sys) isn't classified as a generic driver.
A few sites suggest uninstalling the Realtek drivers and letting Windows install some generic audio drivers instead, but I'm not sure this is the best solution. I figure you guys know better.
