Unreal Engine 5 is officially released and ready to power your next-gen game. Epic also released several sample projects, including a new playable shooter called Lyra.

Microsoft has revealed that thanks to a partnership with Epic Games, it has made the readiness of IntelliSense and semantic code colorization in Unreal Engine projects faster by an order of 18x.

Starting soon, anyone who installs Unity, Epic’s Unreal Engine, or Chukong’s Cocos2D will see a highlighted option to co-install Microsoft’s Visual Studio Community for Windows.

People have been waiting with anticipation for Unreal Engine 5, and now game developers can try it in early access.
