Novak Djokovic may be 38 - but he is not even the oldest man in the Australian Open draw. Old foe Stan Wawrinka, who defeated Djokovic in the 2014 Australian Open quarter-finals on his way to the title, is still going at the age of 40, and secured a first-round win earlier today as he begins his final tournament in Melbourne before retirement.
On Sunday, the Australian Open began in Melbourne, with the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka, Alexander Zverev and Emma Raducanu all winning their opening round matches. On Monday, other favourites such as Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek will begin their quests for the title.
