Durham, North Carolina let out a collective gasp when Duke basketball star Cooper Flagg was spotted in a wheelchair on Thursday. The 18-year-old phenom suffered an ankle sprain in the first half of an ACC Tournament quarterfinals matchup versus Georgia Tech and was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the game.

There was a development in the ACC Tournament on Thursday that could have ramifications at both ends of the bracket. Duke All-American freshman Cooper Flagg suffered a sprained ankle in the first half of the Blue Devils' win over Georgia Tech in the ACC quarterfinals.

Storylines abound but the largest is Cooper Flagg’s availability. The favorite for Player of the Year in College Basketball sprained his ankle in the first half of yesterday’s win over Georgia Tech. There are rumblings out of Charlotte that the All-America will not play again in this tournament
