It was only last week that I wrote about the lowest price I’ve ever seen for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, my favourite phone of 2024, but it seems I spent my best shot early. Now that the Samsung Galaxy S25 range is available in Australia, I’m happy to report that last year’s Ultra model is now (once again!) cheaper than ever.

There are zero differences in the 5,000mAh internal cells in the Galaxy S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra. This extends to the battery charging tech. You’re still working with 45W wired, 15W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless charging as standard. When using a supported charger, it’ll take around an hour to go from 0-100%.

This clever intelligence means the Galaxy S25 can now give users a customised daily briefing (called Now Brief), automatically retouch photos like a pro, and even chat back to owners like a real person via full integration with Google’s clever Gemini assistant.

Perhaps Samsung is banking on more selective customers, who prefer the sharper design and exclusive colors of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, being willing to shell out to get these feature
