Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for an initial $135 million, according to CBS Sports sources. The agreement to sign the German international could ultimately break the British transfer record set by Chelsea when they signed Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for just short of $145 million.
Bayer Leverkusen is in search of new talent to strengthen their team and has set their sights on Justin Kluivert as a possible substitute for Florian Wirtz. The German club has initiated discussions with AFC Bournemouth to explore the possibility of signing the 26-year-old player.
