WWE Royal Rumble 2026 Preview
Digest more
WWE's first premium live event of 2026 kicks off with the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, which officially starts the road to WrestleMania 42.
The women's Royal Rumble match kicked off the show. Charlotte Flair made her way to the ring as the first entrant. Her tag team partner, Alexa Bliss, drew No. 2. It took until there were eight competitors in the ring for the first elimination to take place, but the second and third followed quickly.
All three fight out to the apron. Tiffany Stratton eliminates Sol Ruca after Ruca goes up to the turnbuckle, and Liv Morgan eliminates Stratton to win the Royal Rumble. Morgan, after a couple times being the last eliminated, earns a world title shot at WrestleMania. She lasted nearly 50 minutes to get it done.
The story of the night was AJ Styles —and the looming possibility that his career could end this Saturday at the Royal Rumble. For the first, and potentially only, time in WWE, Styles went one-on-one with CM Punk in a match that doubled as a World Heavyweight Championship showcase.
won’t be shown on traditional TV channels. The live stream is scheduled to begin around 12:30 a.m. IST on Sunday, 1 February 2026, featuring the full Premium Live Event action from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia including the Royal Rumble matches and key title bouts.
