Amazon's CEO hinted at AI's role in workforce changes months ago, but the scale of the potential cuts has taken many by surprise.

Two Amazon Prime Air MK30 drones collided with a crane boom in Tolleson, Arizona, on Wednesday, prompting investigations by federal aviation authorities.

The drones were reportedly on their way back to an Amazon warehouse when they hit the crane. The drones caught on fire after the crash and sustained “substantial” damage, according to a preliminary report from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The company said that while the issue has been resolved, some services may experience a backlog of messages while it works to process them over the next few hours.
