In a trade that has sent shockwaves through the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers made a bold move by sending their star center, Anthony Davis, to the Dallas Maverick

Artist Arutyun Gozukuchikyan shared photos of his newest mural Monday, which is located at 8251 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. The mural features a photo from a 2019 interaction between Doncic and Lakers legend Kobe Bryant. Since Doncic was still a Maverick in 2019, Gozukuchikyan painted over the superstar’s jersey to have him in Lakers gear.

Lakers superstar Luka Doncic drew an average of 2.01 million viewers in his highly-anticipated debut against the Jazz. Doncic finished with 14 points, five rebounds, and four assists. The Lakers won 132-113. Then, Doncic tallied 16 points, four rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal in a 131-119 loss in a rematch to the Jazz.

With Doncic, Lakers fans have the chance for something different, something more similar to what they had with Bryant or Johnson, both of whom spent their entire careers with the Lakers, winning five championships apiece in Los Angeles.

Luka Doncic also played in his first game since his Christmas Day outing when he was still with the Dallas Mavericks. With that said, head coach JJ Redick noted prior to the game that the superstar would have some minutes restriction as they ease him back to NBA action.

The Los Angeles Lakers were able to acquire Luka Doncic in a shocking trade with the Dallas Mavericks before the deadline, giving them a superstar to build around for years to come.
