Work starts on Bishoftu Airport in Ethiopia, designed to handle 110 million passengers annually and become Africa’s largest aviation hub.

Ethiopian Airlines laid the cornerstone for Bishoftu International Airport, a major project with 110M passenger capacity, offering operational advantages and easy connections to Israel.

Slated for completion in 2030, the airport, located outside of Addis Ababa, will be the largest on the African continent.
