More than 700,000 Nissan Rogue and Rogue Sport models are being recalled in the United States not because of an issue with the SUV itself but rather with the key that it was sold with.

Nissan is recalling more than 700,000 Rogue SUV models to address an issue with key fobs that can cause the engine to shut down.

Nissan is recalling more than 809,000 small SUVs in the U.S. and Canada because a key problem can cause the ignition to shut off while they're being driven.

Nissan is recalling at least 712,458 vehicles in its Rogue line over an issue with malfunctioning car keys that can inadvertently cause engines to shut off.

Nissan says the SUVs have jackknife folding keys that may not stay fully open. If driven with the key partially folded, a driver could touch the fob, inadvertently turning off the engine.
