Miyu Yamashita and Rio Takeda are pulling away in the Women's British Open. Yamashita was bogey-free at Royal Porthcawl in posting a 65 in the second round.

Japan's Miyu Yamashita surged into the lead at the AIG Women's Open with a superb second round seven-under 65 at Royal Porthcawl on Friday, with compatriot and joint overnight leader Rio Takeda three shots adrift.

Yamashita held third place after the first round at Royal Porthcawl and took control Friday with a bogey-free, seven-birdie round.
