Global stock markets were up—along with the dollar—with sentiment further buoyed by the prospect that the Trump administration will announce a trade-deal framework with the U.K.

Stock futures hovered near the flatline on Thursday, with investors hoping that the U.S.- United Kingdom trade deal framework is the beginning of more progress to come. Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 12 points, or 0.03%. Nasdaq 100 futures added 0.07%, while S&P 500 futures were little changed.
