Howard shared some memories of being brought in as a replacement director for 2018's 'Solo: A Star Wars Story.'

Academy Award-winning director Ron Howard confirmed that he had previously talked with Star Wars creator George Lucas after he was offered to take over the directing duties for 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Speaking to Vulture, Howard opened up about the circumstances which led to him helming Solo: A Star Wars Story, after Lucasfilm decided to ditch the project's original directorial duo Phil Lord and Miller, of The Lego Movie and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse fame.
