The Milwaukee Brewers were mostly idle through the final day of MLB's trade deadline. As teams around the league hurried to improve themselves or execute a fire sale, the Brewers were nowhere to be found on the transaction wire.

The Brewers also acquired starter Jordan Montgomery in the Miller swap, but Montgomery is out for the season and a free agent after the year. Miller is likewise injured but should be back in August. Milwaukee also acquired catcher Danny Jansen from the Tampa Bay Rays in the days leading up to the deadline.

Lost in the shuffle of their trade deadline activity, the Milwaukee Brewers surrendered a prospect with some serious upside. Jorge Quintana was included in the Nestor Cortes deal that sent Brandon Lockridge to the Brewers from the San Diego Padres.
