PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A good Samaritan was killed after getting out of her car to check on a crash on a busy east Phoenix freeway on Sunday morning, which led to a series of collisions, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Troopers identified the good Samaritan as 51-year-old Catherine King, of Mesa.

The woman who was killed got out of her car to check on a car that had crashed on the Loop 202 near 40th Street in Phoenix when she was hit by a car and killed.
