At least four people were killed in Pennsylvania on Tuesday and hundreds of thousands of customers were without power after severe weather that had torn across the High Plains and Upper Midwest earlier this week pushed into the Northeast and Canada.

More than 200,000 customers remain without power in the Pittsburgh area after a storm brought tornado-level winds.

A Centre County man died on Tuesday after being electrocuted because of storm damage to power lines. First responders were called to the 1500 Block of University Drive in State College, where they found a 22-year-old man who had come in contact with an electrical current. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
