George Kirby erased the taste of some previous tough outings against the Orioles by dominating for seven innings as the M's eked out a 1-0 win, and their eighth straight.

With a 1-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, the Mariners won their eighth straight game and tied the Houston Astros, who were blown out 14-1 by the Boston Red Sox, for first place in the AL West. Both teams now sit at 67-53.

George Kirby pitched seven three-hit innings, and the Seattle Mariners beat the Baltimore Orioles 1-0 on Tuesday night for their eighth victory in a row. Seattle pulled within a half-game of AL West-leading Houston,
