A New Jersey appeals court threw out Sea Bright’s noise ordinance on Monday, saying the town didn’t have the authority to pass it and that the law was too vague to be enforced fairly. The ordinance, adopted in 2017, banned “unnecessary and unreasonable loud, disturbing noise” that could be heard from 50 feet away.
