Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers requested a trade prior to the start of the regular season and he has now had his request fulfilled, as the Jacksonville Jaguars acquired him for fourth- and sixth-round picks, per CBS Sports NFL insider Jonathan Jones.
The disgruntled Raiders receiver has been traded to the Jaguars, per multiple reports. The Raiders will receive a fourth- and sixth-round pick in return for the balance of his contract. Meyers is signed through 2025, at a base salary for the full season of $10.5 million.
Even with Mike Tomlin in charge, the Pittsburgh Steelers proved they're unwilling to trade their future away for players who aren't worth their while.
The first two wide receiver trades on Tuesday weren't the type that are going to shake up the top 12 of the wide receiver rankings, but they certainly make WR3 conversations more interesting and complicate our waiver priorities.
