The Trump administration will propose the repeal of a landmark 2009 determination that climate change poses a danger to the public, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin said Wednesday.

The Environmental Protection Agency is reportedly considering a major rollback of one of its cornerstone climate change findings - one that has allowed the federal government to limit pollution from greenhouse gases for more than 15 years.

While Trump has infamously mocked climate change as “a great hoax,” the ICJ unanimously declared that international law obliges “the protection of the climate system."

The Trump administration wants to reverse a 2009 EPA finding that greenhouse gases endanger people. The finding is the basis for much of the United States' climate change regulations.
