DENVER — Denver International Airport (DIA) is celebrating a big milestone in its yearslong Great Hall renovation project. The airport opened the new East Security TSA checkpoint at 3 a.m. Tuesday. DIA said the new state-of-the-art checkpoint features 17 lanes and will enhance security operations and efficiency.

Airport CEO Phil Washington says the project for the East Security Checkpoint was completed five months early and $10 million under budget.
