The tribute featured a montage of clips of Liam Payne’s stint with One Direction, highlighting their early days and global stardom.

Grammys began to draw to a close on Feb. 2 in Los Angeles, Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin teamed with guitarist Grace Bowers to honor the lives and careers of the musicians, artists and executives who passed away over the past year.

During the Grammy Awards 2025 ceremony, Chris Martin, the leader of Coldplay, moved the audience by paying tribute to the late Liam Payne. He wasn't the only deceased artist mentioned throughout the event.
