Clemson led UNC 49-33 at halftime and outscored them 36-32 in the second half, a margin aided when the Tigers called off the troops and subbed in their bench players (including a number of walk-ons) in the game’s final minutes.

With both teams playing on short rest after emotional wins over the weekend, Clemson was too much for UNC on Monday. The Tigers kept rolling in a 85-65 win over the Tar Heels.

Any momentum the North Carolina Tar Heels may have built by narrowly beating Pit t on Saturday has quickly gone down the drain. The Tar Heels had a quick turnaround, facing a tough road test at Clemson on Monday.
