Dangerous heat continues across the Miami Valley until Thursday. Finally a cold front cools us below normal and lowers humidity.

A heat advisory has been issued for Miami-Dade and Broward counties for Monday and will be in effect noon to 6 p.m. South Florida also was under a heat advisory on Friday. Although the weekend was scorching hot in the region, the National Weather Service in Miami didn’t issue heat advisories for Saturday and Sunday.

An extreme heat warning and a heat advisory were issued by the National Weather Service for portions of Central Florida and the East Coast.

Miami Valley residents are working to stay cool as a heatwave sweeps across the region. A heat advisory has been issued for all Miami Valley counties from 11 a.m. to 8

The heat index could get as high as 111 in South Florida, with the strongest heat expected along the southern Gulf Coast.

Forget about any worries of tropical weather today. Instead pay attention to the heat: temperatures in Jacksonville could feel as high as 113 degrees.

Another Heat Advisory will go into effect for Greene, Montgomery, and Preble counties on Monday at 11 a.m. and will last until 8 p.m. Wayne County, Indiana, is included on this ad
